Our company's production workshops and laboratories became a vivid classroom for these university students, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Fine Chemical Technology students from Fujian Normal University recently visited our company for an immersive learning experience. Our Deputy General Manager detailed the DAIHEI INK'S development history and led students through the entire production process of offset ink manufacturing—from resin production and ingredient mixing to grinding, stirring, and final packaging .
Students also toured our R&D laboratory, where technicians demonstrated the complete workflow from raw material analysis and formula development to small-batch sample production and rigorous testing . The visit provided a comprehensive understanding of both industrial production and R&D processes in the ink industry.
01 Production: Observing Precision and Scale
The visit began with an introduction to Daihei ink company's history and core products by the Deputy General Manager. Students then observed the complete ink production chain in the workshop .
At the resin production area, they learned about the preparation of binders, a core component of ink. In the ingredient mixing section, precise formula adherence was highlighted as crucial for final product quality. The grinding workshop featured three-roll mills operating at specific speed ratios, shearing pigment particles to fineness levels below 10 um . Technicians explained that high-viscosity paste inks often require multiple passes to achieve desired uniformity and smoothness.

02 Laboratory: A Focus on Innovation and Quality
In the laboratory, technicians demonstrated the meticulous R&D process, from raw material selection to sample production .
Students saw how advanced instruments ensure incoming materials meet strict standards. In the formula development area, they learned how customer requirements and printing techniques guide extensive experimentation to determine optimal formulations. "Developing a successful ink formula involves extensive, iterative experimentation," a technical lead shared.
The sampling area showcased how formulas are translated into tangible products, followed by various performance tests. These rigorous quality control procedures ensure critical properties like adhesion and drying time meet specifications.

03 Interaction: Connecting Knowledge with Practice
Throughout the visit, students showed great enthusiasm, actively engaging with our production and R&D staff in detailed discussions . Questions spanned pigment dispersion principles, the stabilizing role of surfactants, ink rheology, and practical printing adaptations. Our technicians provided thorough answers, sharing real-world experiences and case studies.
"Our goal is to help students build a bridge between academic theory and industrial practice, nurturing talent for the industry," stated the Deputy General Manager. This visit underscores our company's commitment to industry-education integration, offering students valuable practical exposure and supporting the development of future professionals for the fine chemical sector .

Our company maintains a strong collaborative relationship with Fujian Normal University, particularly its College of Chemistry and Materials, which actively promotes industry-academia partnerships . Activities like this not only provide valuable learning opportunities for students but also represent our commitment to social responsibility and cultivating the industry's future workforce .
